Last week the Garden Club decided to make flower arrangements in the Asian tradition, with a Nantucket twist. Although we cannot send the actual bouquet's, the "internet stream" is more than capable of transmitting our warmest wishes.

Hanging Outside the Internet Cafe in Tengeru
On a Sunday afternoon some students of the Hopeful School take a break after sending emails to their rafiki wa barua on Nantucket.
Front of the Classroom
This is an interior view of the the new building. The students of the Hopeful School have started to use the space for some time to sing and to write letters to their penpals. Next week Teacher Gebo will begin teaching in the new classroom.
Checkin out the Cabinet
Ema checks out the new supply cabinet. Recently the three shelves and two drawers were installed and the door is on the way.
The New Chalkboard
This chalkboard was created with sand and concrete that is reinforced by wire. The surface is smoothed by with with a plaster made with lime. Next it will be painted with a special board paint.
